Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements


The ideal candidate for this role will assist and support the head of production and traffic for the coordination and administration of the print production process. If you are energetic, organised with high attention to detail and enjoy multi-tasking whilst meeting deadlines – then apply now

Here’s what you can expect to be doing in the role

  • Coordinate, administer and assist with the planning and execution of the print production process
  • Continuously liaise with vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Investigate, research and streamline how we print, where we print and where we mail from to improve lead times to customers receiving mail packages and offers
  • Responsible for onboarding of new vendors as well as the full vendor management to ensure high-quality output of material
  • Meet company expectations and deliver on deadlines
  • Investigate and implement new innovations/trends within the print space to improve on lead times for print turnaround 
  • Take full ownership of Purchase to Pay cycle - processing of PO's, vendor invoices and managing payment expectations of vendors - marketing, e-commerce and partial showroom
  • Responsible for the communication with planning and traffic on deadlines and managing expectations in turnaround times as well as negotiating with vendors on additional times if required
  • Responsible for quality control on output of material from vendors
  • Material management – ensure receipt of samples and manage the distribution of samples to key areas in the business
  • Manage samples in the storeroom and ensuring the storage area is kept up to date and in a neat and organised manner

Requirements

A little about who you are

  • Grade 12 (matric)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in administration, finance and/or project management will be an advantage
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous work experience within a printing or production environment will be advantageous 
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to build good relationships at all levels and the ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to multi task and prioritise
