Job description
We are looking for an experienced and creative social media specialist/designer to join our team. The social media and digital media specialist/designer will be responsible for developing, designing and implementing our social media strategies in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will be working closely with the design, marketing, and sales departments.
Candidate duties
- Digital design: Producing content to be posted online on social media platforms, email signatures online forms, online newsletters (MailChimp)
- Social media management: Develop, implement and manage our social media strategies and content on our social media accounts/platforms including FB and Instagram but not limited. Staying active on social media, monitoring engagement and responding to questions
- Copywriting: Captions, tag lines, whenever it is needed(need good English language skills)
- Video editing: advantageous, however not a necessity
- Website updating: Knowledge of HTML/CSS and WordPress
- Measure the success of every social media campaign
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Work closely with the designer and the management team to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimisation
- Provide constructive feedback
- Maintaining a high standard of attention to detail in all aspects of social media design, and ensure consistency at all times

Requirements
Candidate programmes and requirements
- Both PC and Mac operating systems
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe InDesign
- Microsoft: Word, Powerpoint and Excel
- Mailchimp
- LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and other social media platforms
- Google Platform
- Dropbox, WeTransfer
- Video editing software and apps (advantageous, however not a necessity)
- Website: Able to learn our online systems (PropData and PropControl) and update on a weekly basis
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in marketing/design or relevant field required
- Two to three years of work experience as a social media specialist is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Team player
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- From time-to-time, you may need to work overtime
- Ability to prioritise, adhere to strict deadlines and manage your time effectively is essential.
