The Mr Price Group is looking for a highly efficient, organized and confident individual to take on the exciting role of Lease Administrator in our Group Real Estate department. You will need legal expertise in commercial and or real estate/retail industry, exceptional administrative and organization skills, and have a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Full legal administration function for real estate matters which include, but is not limited to:
- Draft, review, vet and finalise lease agreements and property related contracts

- Review and negotiate lease contract terms with property owners and external suppliers
- Manage Lease Management System and Audit process
- Report on contractual lease obligations
- Legal correspondence with Landlords and external suppliers
- Review lease occupancy costs and provide accurate alternative lease solution
- Administration of lease process for new/exp/red stores
- Monitor Lease expiry/anniversary
- Timeous exercise of Rights of Option to renew
- Tracking, filing and monitoring of lease documents
- Communication with Divisions/Store Development/Procurement and design
- Reporting on Lease information, calculation of gross and turnover rentals
- Management of Diary system
Document Drafting
- Drafting, formatting and preparation of leases and various real estate contracts
- Collation of relevant information from key stakeholders for submission

Meetings
- Attending meetings
- Attending to minutes of meetings and follow up of key action points with various stakeholders
Project Support
- Provide support to the trading divisions on property related matters as required
Requirement
- LLB or relevant legal qualification, admission as an Attorney of the High court will be advantageous
- Minimum of 2 years post admission experience in commercial and property law
- Minimum of 2 years experience in leasing/retail real estate industry
- Meticulous eye for detail and accuracy
- Excellent administration and organizing skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Proven ability to communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to articulate oral and written communication clearly and professionally
- Ability to work full time and availability after hours when needed
- Financial / Business acumen
- Advanced Excel and Word skills
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential
- A high level of integrity in dealing with confidential information
