The Mr Price Group has an exciting career opportunity available within our Group Finance department for a Financial Accountant. If you are an ambitious, meticulous individual who is looking for a role that will allow you to grow and learn within the Finance function, then this is the role for you.
You will be responsible for providing support to Group Finance and the broader finance community within the Mr Price Group.
A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills are of utmost importance for the role.
Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of foreign and dormant annual financial statements (including involvement in the audit process)
- Assisting in the preparation of interim and year end statutory reporting, including group annual financial statements and annual integrated report
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reporting schedules and reports
- Interface with auditors to provide required support
- Perform research and write Board papers/memos on new/changes in IFRS statements impacting the Group
- Review of corporate reporting including
- Authorising purchase orders and releasing payments
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly corporate management reporting packs
- Interim and year end statutory packs
- Assisting in budget and strategy rollup and reporting process
- Complete monthly and ad hoc information for external stakeholders

Key Requirements:
- CA(SA), newly qualified
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
