Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements


Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to perform Demand and Contract Management and, Supply Chain Risk Management and Performance functions. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

Minimum Requirements

  • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or higher qualification);
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Supply Chain Management.

Recommendation

Demand Management, Annual Procurement Plan, Contract Management, Performance and Risk Management, Compilation of Specifications and execution thereof; Understanding and interpretation of Supply Chain Management policies, practices, prescripts/circulars, legislation and guidelines from National /Provincial Treasury; and experience in strategic sourcing and entire procurement value chain.

Key Performance Areas

Coordinate, review, undertake and implement the supply chain demand management process and policies; Render effective Contract Management services; Render risk management and performance monitoring services with regard to supply chain internally and externally; Supervise and mentor sub-ordinates.

Competencies

Knowledge of the following: Supply Chain Management legislation and policies; Proven computer literacy; Client orientation and Communication skills; Good project planning and organising skills; Supervisory skills; Monitoring, evaluation and reporting skills.

Remuneration

R 376 596 per annum (Salary level 9) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
