Are you someone who can:

  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Integrate opinions and information provided by various sources to make strategic decisions and assist the business to address strategic problems and answer strategic questions.
  • Plan, manage, and assist in the execution of strategy sessions and offsites.
  • Assist with the development and roll-out of strategy and business plans and prepare for and facilitate workshops to develop strategies.
  • Action items and key issues requiring resolution and monitor to ensure actions are completed by the right people at the right time.
  • Monitor and adjust strategic frameworks as required.
  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end management of projects, setting out the scope of work, developing a project plan, project-managing internal and external resources and driving the initiative to completion.
  • Write and co-ordinate strategy documents, presentation material, speeches, briefing documents, minutes of meetings, business emails, regulatory, financial and compliance reports and other relevant documentation as required.
  • Liaise with internal and external advisors and stakeholders on strategic projects.
  • Create governance structures and dashboard metrics to monitor progress against strategy and highlight initiatives / risks as required by specific projects.
  • Review, consolidate and analyse financial results to identify key drivers and alignment to business strategy, in preparation of various Exco presentations and reports.
  • Review, consolidate, and analyse forecast and budgeted results in preparation for various Exco reports and forums.
  • Conduct local and international research on banking developments e.g., competitor analysis, sector research, etc.
  • Benchmark research against peers and global best practice.
  • Cut to the core of a vast volume of information and prioritise what is relevant to understanding specific issues and trends in the broader environment; know who to contact for specific information.
  • Plan and manage the agenda and speakers for monthly meetings, capturing key output / next steps and tracking the completion of these.
  • Work with the relevant governance or business forums and other Executive leadership meetings as and when needed.
  • Participate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends, and ideas are actively shared.
  • Participate in specialist communities of practice and contribute positively to own and organisational knowledge improvement.
  • Handle documentation that requires the attention of the relevant manager and prepare reports on various matters.
  • Promote teamwork and inclusivity amongst team members and demonstrates behaviours that respect diversity.
  • Partner and collaborate with team members to achieve team success.
  • Share information and knowledge that benefits the team.
  • Keep the relevant executive and manager informed of various activities within and outside the group.
  • Analyse, review and/or assist with issues of an operational or technical nature.

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Minimum qualification: Relevant Degree
  • Preferred qualification: Relevant post-graduate degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience within Investment Banking is preferred
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools
  • Understanding of operational workflows and process improvement techniques.
  • Ability to support operational projects and initiatives.
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure data security.
