Duties and Responsibilities (Includes but is not limited to):
- Planning and executing work in a workshop environment
- Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE & MHS legislation
- Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- To ensure that Safety rules and procedures are adhered to, according to the rules and regulations of the workshop and mine
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment
- Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists
- Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
- Must be able to work in a workshop and plant environment
- Must be available on standby

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- N3 relevant to Trade
- Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker)
- Valid RSA driver’s license
- Experience in Boilermaking with various disciplines is advantageous such as fitting and electrical
- Must have good interpersonal skills
- Must have good leadership qualities
- Be able to work under pressure, independently and in a team
- Must be plant maintenance and fabrication orientated with at least five years’ experience
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management Methods
- Experience in mining and/or heavy machinery and facilities involving complex production processes
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act
