Purpose of Position:
- To prepare and analyse specimens and maintain instruments in the Histology laboratory
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath.,
- Perform administration tasks to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.,
- Process routine bench work in the laboratory to ensure efficient processing of specimens.,
- Provide technical support within the laboratory to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous results of specimens.,
- Train laboratory staff to ensure continuous development and education.

Requirements:
- National Diploma – Medical Technology (Preferably Clinical Pathology) (Required),
- Registered as a Medical Technician (Chemical Pathology) with the HPCSA (Required)
Required Experience:
- Experience in pathology laboratory environment,
Knowledge:
- Ampath QC procedures,
- Instrumentation and Methodologies,
- Meditech system,
- MS Windows,
- Relevant pathology test procedures,
- Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
