Accountant, General Ledger - Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

To be accountable for the general ledger so that Capitec has accurate and to standard financial transaction records which can produce accurate financial reports

Experience

• At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in financial accounting environment including;
  
  • Managing the monthly general ledger close activities
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis responsibility
  • People management experience

Qualification Requirements

• Honours Degree in Financial Accounting or Management Accounting
• Charted Accountant CA (SA) or similar would be preferred

Knowledge

• Thorough knowledge of IFRS
• Thorough knowledge of all relevant legislation, especially the Companies Act
• Proficiency in relevant software packages and applications;
• General knowledge of accounting practices.
