Duties
- Ensuring statutory compliance with regards the relevant OHS Acts & Regulations.
- Ensuring compliance to ISO standards 9001, 14001, 18001.
- Initiate, plan, execute and control ad hoc projects as and when required.
- Developing long-term maintenance strategies for plant equipment and pressure piping.
- Overseeing the Equipment Condition Monitoring & pressure piping Inspection program.
- Periodic review and analysis of maintenance measures.
- Improvement of maintenance strategy.
- Preparation of proper SOW for general overhaul activities.
- Preparation and implementation of Safety Procedures & Work Instructions.
- Compilation and control of the maintenance capital replacement budget.
- Supervision of special third-party service providers.
- QA /QC for all maintenance measures.
- Preservation of the plant performance by pro-actively eliminating equipment failures.
- Developing of maintenance procedures, standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- B.Eng. (Mech) preferred
- B.Sc. (Mech) may be considered
- PR Certificated may be advantageous
Experience
- Preferably 5 years’ experience in heavy industry/mining/chemical process environment
- Project management proficiency
- Piping systems and piping standards
- Equipment Condition Monitoring

- Pressure Equipment Regulations proficiency.
