Artisan Fitter and Turner at Adogreen

In working for a well established manufacturing company, the successful candidate will be required to have a general understanding of machine drawings and will be working in a workshop or plant based environment. One will be required to travel locally and will be required to be on occasional standby.

Job Description

• Ensure work is completed according to company guidelines and up to company standards
• Give feedback and/or recommendations to the maintenance supervisor on any downfalls or required maintenance
• Make orders of consumables and any critical spares used
• Pinpoint an breakdowns and shortcomings in the workshop
• Conduct risk assessments before continuing with maintenance

• Maintain all toolkits and spares
• Complete work orders and monitor what equipment has been maintained
• Ensure job cards are completed on time
• Maintain a well kept working environment
• Overhaul pumps and gearboxes as well as the machining thereof

Minimum Requirements

• N3 / matric (with Math and science)
• Fitter and Turner trade certificate
• Minimum of 3-4 years’ post trade experience in fitting or fitting and turning
• Understanding of machine drawings
• Basic computer literacy
• Code 08 drivers license
