Job description

Undertakes all general work activities and other associated duties in the procurement department in accordance with laid down instructions supporting acceptable standards of service delivery.

 Requirements

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical work.
• Physically demanding –requires lifting, bending and pushing.
• Criminal checks and medicals will be conducted.
• Working some overtime and/ or weekends and shifts is required.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist with loading and off-loading where required.
• Placing and stacking items in designated storage area/s.
• Removing empty boxes and other items meant for removal, to designated area/s.
• General housekeeping as designated by line manager.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely in terms of health & safety requirements.
• Assist where required and requested to do so by management.
• Keep the work area in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
• Undertake any other ad hoc/ additional duties as may be required by management.

Skills required

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Attention to detail.
• Service orientation.
