Code 10 Truck Driver - Ligpos

The candidate will be responsible for driving a code 10 truck for the delivery of vegetables to various clients. This role also includes the responsibility of keeping the truck in good condition and ensuring that goods are delivered on time and safely. A driver's health, safety, and skills in road legislation are extremely important.

Job Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Drive a code 10 truck for vegetable deliveries
• Ensure the truck is regularly checked and maintained
• Complete delivery notes and documentation
• Communicate with clients regarding delivery times and requirements
• Pay attention to the routine and network of deliveries

Job Requirements:

Critical Requirements:

• Valid code 10 driver’s license
• At least 2 years of experience in truck driving
• Familiarity with routes and road legislation
• Must be physically able to assist with loading and unloading goods

Work Environment:

The position is for a vegetable farm and requires a strong work ethic. The driver must be willing to work in various weather conditions and sometimes work longer hours to complete deliveries.

Work Location: Between Donkerhoek and Rayton

Work Area: Local delivery routes

Employment Periods: Employment Start Date: 01/11/2024

Working Hours & Days:

• 40 to 45 hours per workweek
• Fixed work week

Leave:

• 1 day of leave for every 17 days worked
• 30 sick leave days in a 3-year cycle

Notice Period:

• 1 week if worked less than 6 months
• 2 weeks if worked more than 6 months but less than a year
• 4 weeks if worked longer than a year

Compensation for Services:

• Monthly salary, depending on the candidate's profile
• Payment bi-weekly
