Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements

You will engage with the following stakeholders:

  • Internal and external stakeholders

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and define a business development plan in line with overall Growth plan
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking in area of expertise and translate this into business process/ solutions/ working practice improvements 
  • Deliver client or company-specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with line manager
  • Contribute to the achievement of the organisational objectives through structured and quality delivery of Work Assignments and Work Deliverables
  • Support and provide input into storage management and communication of standards, templates, methods and tools used for business development 
  • Evaluate and conduct situational assessments to markets that may be of interest, to create and sustain stakeholder engagement in these markets

  • Conduct research to inform marketing plans and approach 
  • Develop an opportunity matrix per market to quantify and list the opportunities identified in the market 
  • Assess and map stakeholders & establish new networks 
  • Identify marketing opportunities and attend events 
  • Meet with prospective clients 
  • Write proposals/ respond to tenders
  • Produce sales pipelines and revenue forecasts

QUALIFICATION / KNOWLEDGE 

  • Appropriate tertiary/business related qualification 
  • Banking and payment industry knowledge 
  • Required computer literacy levels 
  • MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in Business Development 
  • Experience in Banking/Financial Services industry 
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in related field 
  • Operational knowledge of financial services industry
