Technical Intern - Lucy Electric

Job Purpose:

• Assisting office staff and managers with day-to-day tasks.
• Manage stock and keep record of movements.
• Housekeeping of the work area.
• Prepare Test, Inspect and book out products as per project requirements.
• Assist with value added process on all products a s per project requirements.
• Assist the appointed QMR (Quality Management Representative) with any/all quality related items/procedures.
• Carry out any lawful instruction issued by the Managers at LESA.
• Assemble and wire RMU’s for orders received.
• Assist with planning the execution of orders/builds and project work.
• Candidate must be willing to do site work and travel from time to time.
• Candidate must be able to perform work/repairs on switchgear such as:
  • Mechanism Replacements,
  • Fitment of Motors/atomization,
  • Read and understand technical drawings,
  • General fault finding,
  • General understanding of protection settings and the working of the protection relay.

Key Accountabilities

• Stock Management / Stock Take
• Carry out any lawful instruction issued by the Managers at LESA.
• Housekeeping.
• Assist with any repairs/testing/ value added service, etc. to existing products.

• Assist the Technical and Contracts Manager in day to day tasks.
• Order, project and RMU Assembly management
• Site repair Work

Job Context: The position is responsible to: Graduate internship programme

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• N6/ Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Power
• Completion confirmation letter from the University and Work-Integrated Learning request letter.
