A position has become vacant for a Video Analyst based in Vanderbijlpark at one of Fidelity Services Group’s critical sites.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Day-to-day CCTV monitoring.
  • Great analysing skills.
  • Analysing of all video content.
  • On-the-job training and development of skills of CCTV staff specifically towards proactive response and identifying possible crime trends.
  • Watching back footage to compile detailed reports and breakdowns thereof.
  • Investigations.
  • Detection of specific behaviours within a scene through the viewing of CCTV cameras.
  • Ensure Whatsapp reporting to clients is set up and done as agreed upon.
  • Follow through on all escalations done to support structures
  • Collaborate between internal and external crime prevention resources to deal with active crime incidents and to proactively assist in crime incidents.
  • Track overactive reporting daily.
  • Ring-fence overactive cameras and re-benchmark.
  • Manage site-specific reporting to the customer.
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly submission of reports.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Grade 12/Matric.
  • Grade A/B Psira Registered.
  • CCTV Operator certification.
  • At least 3 – 5 years in CCTV monitoring and supervisory experience in a similar position.
  • Compulsory:
    • CCTV/LPR industry-specific knowledge.
    • Great Knowledge of a CCTV control room set-up.
    • CCTV product knowledge.
    • Managing escalations
  • Fully computer literate.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and manage people.
  • Strong sense for attention to detail.
  • Reporting Skills
  • Need to be proactive and be able to identify crime trends through information-gathering
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of all monitoring platforms used: Hikvision, Dahua(DSS), Vuma Milestone, Proof 360 analytics and LPR, Isentry, and Syntel.
  • Strong networking skills to be able to build relationships internally as well as with external resources like SAPS, JMPD as well as Community Forums.
  • Excellent communication skills.
