Cyber Security Analyst - Omnia

Overview

• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
• Knowledge of host compromise & malware injection techniques
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
• Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact

Duties

• Monitor computer networks for security issues.
• Partner with CyberSOC related to Incidents
• Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
• Work with the IT team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high security standard.
• Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
• Perform penetration testing.
• Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management.
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
• Stay up to date on information technology trends and security standards.
• Provide guidance on technology lifecycle related to security.
• Active participation in external cyber audits
• Mitigate and remediate security incidents

Qualifications

• Matric or NQF Level 5
• A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer System or any related qualification
• Security +
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
• EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) - Advantageous
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Advantageous
• ISO 27001 – Information Security

Experience

• At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in Microsoft discipline ea.
• Experience in information security or a related field
• Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and provisioning technology, MDM
