Purpose of Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in carrying out repairs and maintenance on Weir equipment on customer sites and in the Service Centre workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times. Keep contract packs up to date.
- Service: Assist technicians with carrying out maintenance, repairs, inspections and overhauling on Weir Minerals equipment on customer sites or in the service centre, including assistance with installation and commissioning of pumps and other Weir Minerals products. General assistance as and when required, including cleaning/prepping of parts, spray painting. Dismantling of pumps and bearing assemblies. Load and unload trucks and assist with delivery of spares when required.
- Customer support: Ability to identify solutions to improve equipment or processes on and off sites
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / N3 Certificate or any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that can perform the objectives above
- Technical knowledge/experience in minerals processing plants will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools
- Clear communication at all levels
- Attention to detail
- Ability to read technical drawings advantageous
- Ability to solve problems promptly
- Ability to work under pressure
- Customer focused
