- What you’ll have done before:
Baseline:
- NQF Level 4 (Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent)
- 2 years’ experience in a dispatching role
- Must have operational experience in: SAP
- Knowledge of EWMS Store
- Exceptional computer skills (MS Windows and other applications)
- Working knowledge of applicable handling and loading methods of product on trucks.
- Exposure in a supervisory role

Advantageous:
- NQF Level 6 (National Diploma in Warehousing/Transport/Logistics).
- Working knowledge of supply chain logistics.
- Lube product range knowledge.
- Understanding of Engen’s internal policies and procedures.
- Basic knowledge of export operations and documentation.
- Basic knowledge of Bulk loading and documentation.
What you’ll be doing:
DISPATCH PLANNING
- Schedule product Loads to Local, National and Export customers.
- Provide effective transport planning and utilization.
- Ensure daily delivery due lists are addressed fully and SLAs are met (including loading of vehicles in a safe manner).
- Reschedule orders if unable to fulfil and strive for no back orders.
- Stock Receiving from DC, checking and Good Receipt.
TRANSPORT PLANNING
- Communicate daily planning lists to the transport contractors.
- Monitor vehicle arrival times and turnaround times at the DC.
- Check vehicle loading, strapping and dispatch.
- Ensure efficient business processes.
INTERNAL LIAISON
- Liaise with Customer Service Center (CSC) to resolve customer queries / duplicates.
- Communicate with transporters and Sales tea and ensure efficient business processes.
- Align with Route Planning (DRP) when product is required urgently.
INVENTORY CONTROL
- Conduct stock counts on a weekly and monthly basis and investigate losses promptly.
- Eliminate damages and losses (dead and obsolete) to ensure stock is managed as per First in First Out (FIFO) methodology.
- Conduct CHEP Pallets control and counts
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
- Monitor the DDC operations and ensure compliance with Ontime in Full (OTIF) requirements and drive down cost to serve.
- Engage and manage customers, sales and supply chain associates to deliver outstanding customer service through a combination of operational excellence and customer-centricity initiatives.
- Coordinate and plan closely with DRP and DC team members to ensure enough network replenishments works within Extended Warehouse Management System (EWMS) and forms part of order to cash process for the DC and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure loaded products is same as picked products and cross reference with EWMS to SAP.
- Ensure proper control of the EPOD System.
- Check quality of products is dispatched and ensure no damaged or leaking product is dispatched.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Check correct Patch labels and bar codes and compile daily reports.
- Ensures that dispatch documents are printed and filed daily.
- Monitor processing of credits and processing of Bulk Shipments.
- Conduct HSEQ Audits and close out audits findings on time.
