Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements


Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist Welders with their day-to-day activities on the depot and district in the installation and fabrication of domestic/bulk water pipe equipment.

Primary Duties

  • Assist in maintenance, fabrication and repairs of pipeline components.
  • General maintenance, loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Safety and housekeeping.

Knowledge

  • General maintenance.
  • Safety knowledge.
  • Knowledge of plumbing.

Skills

  • Ability to do minor repairs.
  • Communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • 1 year experience in a mechanical environment.
