TWK Motors, part of the TWK Agri Group, has the following vacancy available: Artisan Assistant (RSA) at Standerton, Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in the repair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer/distributor standards and within the flat rate time allowed
- Together with journeyman, establish parts required for service/repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered
- Report to journeyman/technician promptly on any additional work required
- Obtain authorization prior to carrying out additional work or dismantling components
- Obtain technical information from journeyman/technician on problem jobs
- Adhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by the manufacturer, or as instructed by the journeyman
- Adhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures
- Note the description of all work performed on the back of the Repair Order if required
- Place all used parts in plastic bags, except oil & fuel filters, and place on the passenger floor
- All warranty replaced parts are to be tagged according to laid down rules and handed to the Parts Department
- Ensure all oils and parts used are booked out on the Repair Order
- Ensure the vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied
- Ensure the work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy
- Ensure time started and completed are entered on the Repair Order
- Report any faulty and/or broken equipment to journeyman/technician
- Ensure all special tools and equipment are used with utmost care
- To possess a complete set of tools, as per RMI standards, and to maintain them in good working order
- Ensure a neat appearance at all times - overalls to be changed after heavy repairs
- Maintain cordial relationships with workshop staff

Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
- Computer literate
- Valid driver's licence
- Previous experience on servicing of vehicles
