We are hiring a Snr Electrical and/or I&C Engineer to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa.
The post-holder will be responsible for the compilation and review of Electrical and or I&C Designs, Tenders and general engineering support to Project installation teams on EPC projects in the Nuclear and Power Generation fields.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- We need you to be Bachelor’ Degree qualified (or equivalent), with design engineering experience. A Professional Registration (Pr ENG/Pr Tech.) is beneficial.
- Experience in component sizing, selection, protection and coordination with respect to AC and DC Reticulation systems
- Working knowledge of large electrical components such as switchgear, motors, generators, transformers etc
- Thorough knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Systems and Components
- Knowledge of Electrical and I&C Codes and Standards (SANS, ISO, IEC, IEEE)
- Working knowledge of Chargers, Inverters, Batteries, UPS’s
- 7 years working experience, preferably in Power Generation or a similar highly regulated industry
- Koeberg / Nuclear Power Plant experience & Working knowledge of Nuclear Codes and standards
