A new opportunity has become available for an HR Administrator on a 3-month fixed-term basis. The successful applicant will need to be thorough, with excellent attention to detail, and must possess well-developed organizational skills. The position will require the ability to work under pressure to meet specific deadlines and to smoothly and efficiently deal with numerous issues.

This candidate must deal with confidential information with utmost discretion and meet high standards of integrity Applicants will also need to be flexible and willing to handle a variety of tasks to assist their HR and Operations team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer the E-mer online filing system for all RSA, Namibia, and Lesotho employees.
  • Accurately process all personnel onboarding, changes i.e. designation changes, transfers, salary increases, promotions, Leave, and Terminations on the E-mer filling system.
  • Ensure the HR Database accurately reflects the current staff conditions and details.
  • Ensure that all instructions are prepared and completed in time and that feedback is submitted to the HR Management team.
  • Assist with all HR projects and ensure they are completed in a reasonable time frame.
  • Carry out general administration tasks, i.e. telephone answering, post, filing etc.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Preferably an administrative qualification (2 years) alternatively a qualification in HR.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2 years experience performing an administrative or supportive role within a department is essential. (It will be advantageous if this experience was gained within Human Resources)
  • Practical exposure to the relevant legislation within the HR Field advantageous
  • Fluent in English (Written and Verbal).
  • Xhosa and Zulu/or any other African language verbal ability (advantageous)
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Excellent Administration Skills
  • A strong logical thinking and analytical ability.
  • Has a high energy level and is performance-driven.
  • Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint & Outlook) and
    Google Suite are an important requirement.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
  • Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
  • Must be service-orientated
