Purpose of the Job
To Provide maintenance support through timeous and effective repair and maintenance service to buildings and plumbing across facilities to contributing to facilities operational efficiency to meet department goals
What You'll be Doing:
- Execute tasks as per written procedures to ensure safety of people and integrity of asset, check lists issued/received/returned, liaise with Facilities Helpdesk and/or Facilities Manager, assess site visit/scope of work, identify and request material requirements, issue permit to work to service provider, ensure repairs/maintenance are carried out within SLA limits, respond to emergencies, escalate specialized activities/emergencies for urgent attention, identify potential failures and initiate backlog on Facilities Request System to ensure delivery and performance is within operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate adherence to customer and stakeholder policy and procedures by providing support and guidance to customers and ensuring adherence to customers SLAs, liaising with contractors on deliverables and following up on timelines and performance measures to ensure effective customer and stakeholder support.
- Ensure safe working environment by ensuring that the safe working practices are adhered to by contractors and customers and preventative plans are implemented to ensure compliance to HSEQ ZETO rules.

What you'll have done before:
Minimum
- NQF level 4 (Matric/Grade 12)
- 1 year of experience in Maintenance, General repairs, Plumbing
Advantageous
- N6/ Trade Test/Artisan Certificate
- Building and Facilities maintenance
