Purpose of the Position

Coordinate, administer psychometric assessments, and support the Talent Specialist in facilitating the end-to-end assessment process.

Research and development

  • Research the latest trends in assessments and advise relevant stakeholders, improve the maturity of the assessment function using relevant good practice.
  • Remain abreast of the latest developments within the field of occupational assessments.
  • Disseminate information on processes and present assessment outcomes or research conclusions.
  • Assist the specialist with building assessment frameworks to meet the needs of the business.

Operational Delivery

  • Coordinate and administer assessments for development purposes and other HR purposes as and when required.
  • Interpret assessment results and compile feedback reports.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and HPCSA requirements.
  • Maintain assessment data according to legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Engage and partner with the business on relevant HC projects from an assessment perspective.

  • Ensure that the assessment center and equipment are managed and compliant with HPCSA standards.

     

Stakeholder Engagement and Management

  • Assist the specialist in identifying the need for assessments.
  • Build a credible reputation internally and externally by providing support and insight to clients and colleagues.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across specified business areas and with external vendors.
  • Cooperate with the HC Business Partners and top management.

     

Qualifications Essential:

  • Honours in Social Science/Commerce/Arts Degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology or Counselling Psychology.
  • Must be a newly registered Psychometrist with the HPCSA.

     

Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of the code of professional ethics of the HPCSA.
  • Knowledge of best practice in the field of psychometrics.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks which impact on psychological practice.
  • Sound understanding of psychometric properties.
  • Accreditation on the below will be an added advantage (CPP, OPQ, EQI, Psytech experience).
