Sanlam Investments Multi-Manager researches, identifies, blends and manages portfolios that give you access to the best investment managers, intending to achieve the best possible returns at the appropriate level of risk. We design and blend unique portfolios based on a deep understanding of our client’s investment aims and a fundamental insight into how they perceive risk. By developing a mutual understanding of their investment aim and philosophy we can assist them in achieving their investment goals in the long run.

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Monitor automated internal and external data loads into the data warehouse and resolve any issues.
  • Enrich data with information required for internal and external client reporting.
  • Run data audits and clear any data issues.
  • Extract and provide data files for client reporting systems.
  • Extract and provide ad hoc reports for internal and external clients.
  • Resolve client queries about data issues.
  • Continuously review and enhance data-related processes.
  • Documenting of as-is-analysis and process documents.
  • Data clean-ups and ensuring that the data is well maintained.
  • Ongoing system development:
  • Analyse business requirements.
  • Write specifications.
  • Test development.
  • Sign-off development.
  • Daily compliance for CIS Funds.
  • Month-end and Quarter-end Client reporting processes: Fund fact sheets; CIS Investment reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary degree.
  • 2 years experience in a similar role in asset management.
  • Experience in working with data systems and databases.

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Ability to work accurately and very strong detail orientation.
  • Motivated team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Independent worker and displays initiative.
  • Stress tolerant and results-focused.
  • Assertive and proactive.

  • Analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Previous data administration experience.
  • Previous asset management experience.
  • Previous business analysis experience.
  • Understand system data flow processes.
