PURPOSE
This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety
- Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements
- Promote safety performance
- Conduct risk assessments
- Do planned task observations
- Conduct safety meetings
- Ensure team members wear PPE
- Investigate incidents/accidents
Operations
- Maintain good housekeeping standards
- Rectify process deficiencies
- Ensures production targets are met
- Maintains quality standards
- Monitors plant performance to obtain optimum production
- Advise on requirements of process spares

Managing the Team
- Assign work.
- Monitor performance
- Train and develop team members.
- Maintain discipline in the plant
Administration
- Completes all reports regarding safety, production, personnel, quality control and maintenance
- Completes required ISO documents
- Complete incident/accident investigations Maintaining staff training records
- Ensure disciplinary records to be up to date
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12/N3 COMPSOC SAMTRAC or equivalent Diploma in Safety Management would be an advantage
Expirience
- 5 years experience in mining/construction as (Plant attendant/ Junior plant operator/ Plant operator)
