As a Business Intelligence Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of business intelligence strategies and solutions. Your primary goal will be to leverage data and analytics to provide valuable insights that support informed decision-making and drive business growth. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Key Functional Duties:
- Strategy Development: Manage and implement Cape Herb & Spice’s business intelligence strategy in alignment with overall business goals and objectives.
- Leadership: Manage and lead a business intelligence analyst, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate them into business intelligence solutions and initiatives.
- Data Management: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data by establishing and enforcing data governance policies and best practices.
- Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be used to drive business performance and strategy.
- Reporting and Visualization: Oversee the creation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to effectively communicate key findings and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate and select appropriate business intelligence tools and technologies; oversee their implementation to support data-driven decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop monitoring mechanisms to track the effectiveness and impact of business intelligence initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in business intelligence and data analytics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the organization.

Education & Required Knowledge
- 1-3 years experience in Business Intelligence or related field
- Tertiary education: B Comm, Computer Science, Statistics or related discipline
- SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Proficient in using business intelligence tools (Power BI, Syspro, ERP experience advantageous)
- Experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Present complex concepts and insights in a clear and concise manner
