Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day functions of the admin and finance department
- Maintain and develop internal control systems and procedures
- Provide support to operational management team when & where needed
- Various reporting responsibilities
- Finalising month-end accounts within required deadline
- Assist with overseeing the procurement department
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Calculate and submit VAT
- Major tasks include:
- Review of creditors reconciliations
- Review and release of EFT payments
- General Ledger reconciliations
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements:
- B.Comm accounting degree or equivalent qualification
- 5-10 years’ experience
- Experience in accounting/financial system preferably Accpac
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Positive attitude and hardworking
- Lives the values of AFRIMAT
- Team player
- Able to solve problems
- Shows commitment and takes ownership of work
- Excellent leadership skills
- Shows continuity in attendance
- Be prepared to work after hours and work away from home when needed
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
