Position Purpose:
To conduct vetting investigations, make recommendations on a subject’s security competence by identifying possible security threats and liaise with internal and external stakeholders as the State Security Agency, South African Police Service and the South African National Defence Force.
Position outputs:
- Conduct background checks and verifications on all prospective employees.
- Collate and analyse checks.
- Evaluate and make recommendations on whether to use or not to us a shortlisted candidate.
- Conduct vetting investigations.
- Provide inputs for the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, norms & standards in vetting investigations.
- Administer vetting files and reports.
- Partaking in task teams dealing with matters relating to vetting projects/processes.
- Render administrative support services.
- Communication with internal and external clients such as the State Security Agency, South African Police Service and the South African National Defence Force.

Qualifications & Experience:
- NQF 7 in Political Science, Social Science, Economics, Journalism, Law
- Completion of a vetting investigations course as offered by SANDF/SSA/SAPS
- 5 years experience operational experience in a Security environment, preferably vetting investigations
