Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements


As a Young-Professional-In-Training, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and travelling to other working environments to gain practical exposure on the following deliverables:

Service Delivery

  • Implementation of key People Management initiatives aligned to the business strategy, towards the attainment of a high-performance culture.
  • Acting as a primary interface between People Management and the business, providing clear direction on People
  • Management strategy, policies and people management issue.

Enablement

  • Effective management and control of all aspects relating to remuneration, organisational management, performance management and personnel administration according to Transnet remuneration guidelines and principles.
  • Ensure compliance in the People Management area with regard to implementation of policies and procedures and audit requirements.
  • Superuser for TP eSystems.

Integrated Talent Management

  • Development, management, and monitoring of the implementation of integrated talent management strategies aligned to Group PM strategy.
  • Identification and implementation of systems and processes that will enable service delivery operate optimally in support of the people management strategy.

Employee Relations

  • Understand the provision of specialist legal advise and counselling to management and employees in regard to employment related matters in alignment with the legislation and internal Transnet policies.

Organisational effectiveness

  • Responsible for the effective implementation of employee wellness , ways of work, change management, Employee Value
  • Proposition, transformation, engagement and communication interventions in Transnet Property.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Honours in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Humanities or Psychology.
  • Experience in data analytics is an advantage.
  • A positive attitude and a growth mindset
