Position Purpose:
- Provide an effective and efficient Capacity Building service to all business units, by ensuring the successful execution of training initiatives in order to create an adequately skilled workforce.
Position outputs:
- Be part of the compilation & implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), Annual Training Report (ATR) for Head Office (HQ).
- Capturing of WSP & ATR on the TETA system for HQ.
- Prepare monthly training reports for HQ and consolidate the reports received from the Ports for TNPA.
- Responsible for the compilation of the BBBEE Skills Development Reports for HQ (Training Interventions section) and gathering all supporting documents.
- Perform mock audits on the BBBEE Skills Development reports and supporting documentation submitted by the Ports.
- Coordinate training for employees in the Head office and nationally as and when required.
- Create and maintain Bursary records on the Bursary Management system and monitor the performance of Bursars.
- Provide support to business units for bursars and trainees in the practical environment to ensure efficient application of skills acquired.
- Capture and maintain Training Interventions on the SAP LSO system.
- Capture HQ employees' qualifications on SAP LSO.
- Capture employee's Individual Development Plans (IDPs) on SAP LSO and be able to draw reports
- Educate and train Head Office employees on Capacity Building processes and systems, e.g. Loading Individual Development Plans (IDPs) on Employee Self Service (ESS), and applying for a Bursary on ESS.

- Responsible for receiving and checking capacity-building-related documents from the ports and HQ e.g training forms, bursary application forms and facilitating the GM: HR signature.
- Arranging and coordinating inductions and assessments for our Interns and Young Professionals in HQ.
- Responsible for the general admin in Capacity Building, e.g. booking of boardrooms and arranging resources for Capacity Building meetings.
- Preparing OBML increase letters.
- Liaise with HQ Employees on a daily basis and provide necessary assistance on their Training requirements and guidance on CB Processes.
- Provide guidance to Ports in terms of CB Processes and procedures.
- Communicate with Training Service Providers as and when required.
- Provide support and advise in various projects where training and development is required.
- Ensure compliance of Transnet policies and procedures are adhered to in the Training & Development process as well as compliance with legislation-Skills Development Act & Skills Development Levies Act.
Qualifications & Experience:
- National Diploma in Human Resources Management
- Registered Assessor
- Qualified SDF
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- 3-5 years experience in a Human Resources environment
