The position requires a person who at times would be working independently, responsible for executive office management, performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and clerical support duties.

It requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Knowledge of the University and departmental policies and procedures are required.

  • Communications and stakeholder liaison
  • Facilities and assets administration
  • Financial administration
  • Policies and processes
  • Scheduling and coordination
  • Document creation, analysis, and reporting

  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office, other related computer software, and electronic communications tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of the internal policies context
  • Adequate knowledge of the external higher education context

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant one-year diploma in Public Relations/Communications OR Administration would be  an added advantage
  • 5 years relevant experience in Secretarial or Administrative assistant post at Higher Education Sector level
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • ITS knowledge will be an added advantage
