Key Performance Areas

Understands and operate the Relevant Machinery and Equipment Do various Machine Inspections and Report Writing on Machine Condition Execute Preventative Maintenance Tasks according to OEM Maintenance Schedules Execute Planned and Breakdown Maintenance activities on Client Installed Base according to Planning Schedule Installation and Commissioning of New and Refurbished Equipment, Sub-Assemblies, Spare and Wear Parts on the relevant Machines and Equipment

Requirements

• Perform trade-related maintenance
• Fitter will include precision and detailed assembly
• Ability to work from Technical Drawings and verbal instructions with minimum supervision
• Translate design requirements into assembled units in the most efficient manner, applying common sense and assembly experience
• Repair equipment and machinery according to maintenance standards
• Strip; inspect and repair various mining-related equipment such as crushers; gearboxes and materials handling equipment.
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and Company standards
• Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
• Work overtime, shifts, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise.
• Experience of lifting and crane equipment would be ideal
• Performs other duties as and when required to perform work in underground conditions and extended working hours.

What You Bring

• Trade Tested Artisan Fitter & Turner
• Understanding of drawings and part lists
• Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
• 3 years in a medium to heavy engineering environment
