Job Overview:
Our TV and film production company in Johannesburg, South Africa is seeking a highly motivated administrative assistant to join our dynamic and collaborative team. As an administrative assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to various departments within the company, including production, finance and human resources.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages and respond to inquiries from clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and events, including booking conference rooms, arranging catering and preparing materials.
- Assist with travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels and rental cars.
- Maintain and organise physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring that all files are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Order and maintain office supplies, including stationery, printer toner and other items as needed.
- Assist with invoice processing, including verifying accuracy and completeness, obtaining approvals and forwarding to the appropriate department for payment.
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping, including updating employee and vendor information in company databases.
- Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing paperwork and scheduling orientation sessions.
- Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.

Qualifications and experience:
- Diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of the TV and film production industry is a plus.
