Duties and responsibilities:

  • Inspect your delivery vehicle for any maintenance needs and reporting defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and obtaining each time a signature to confirm delivery of their products.
  • Possess knowledge of how to handle materials safely.
  • Use navigation systems and reading maps.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure deliveries are made on schedule - for local and national deliveries.
  • Hold vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
  • Possess physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
  • Assist on daily duties and activities - messenger work and ad hoc duties.
  • Display willingness and ability to work reliably on a flexible work schedule, Monday - Friday and some weekends or where pre-planned on public holidays.

Inherent requirements:

  • Grade 10 on NQF level 2.
  • A code C1 driver's license (attach a copy).

Recommendations:

  • A minimum of two (2) years' relevant working experience as a driver.
  • Professional Driving Permit (PDP) (attach a copy).
  • Advanced Driving Course (attach a copy).

  • The ability to be reliable, responsible, dependable and to fulfil obligations.

Business Acumen:

  • Proficient in using MS Office.
