Toyota Motors Corporation South Africa is inviting suitably qualified individuals to send in their application and qualify for its upcoming Learnership Programme for 2020. Read on to discover more about this opportunity.

As one of the Toyota Motor Corporation’s off-shore facilities, Toyota SA manufactures, assembles, distributes and exports vehicles and spare parts in and outside the country. Its line of commercial and passenger vehicles include coupes, hatches, sedan, SUVs, MPVs, vans and bakkies.

In addition, to spare parts and accessories, TMC South Africa also offers insurance and finance products via its dealers operating all over South Africa. TMC South Africa’s headquarters is in Sandton and has been operating as a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation since 4 November 2002.

Toyota SA Learnership Programme

The successful candidates will have an opportunity to receive training in a variety of technical disciplines operating within the company.  Moreover, candidates who successfully complete the learnership programme will acquire a Level 2 NQF certification.

Who should apply?

To be considered eligible to apply for Toyota SA’s Learnership Programme, candidates must be able to meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Must hold at least a minimum educational qualification in any of the fields of study listed below
    • Mechanical Trades
    • Technical Matric or NTC 3 (with subjects in Physical Science, Mathematics, Graphic Design  or Engineering Drawing, and a trade subject
    • Electrical Trade, Technical Matric or NTC level 3 (with subjets in Graphic Design/Engineering Drawing, Physical Science, Industrial Electronics/Electrical Technology, and a Trade subject

The deadline for submission of applications is on 4 December 2020. Toyota may opt to discontinue the advert prior to the deadline for whatever reason it may deem beneficial to the company’s interests.

  • How long will it take to complete this learnership programme?
    Successful applicants will have an opportunity to undergo training in many technical disciplines for a duration of seven (7) months.
  • Where will the learnership programme take place?
    The successful applicants will be fulfilling the learnership contract in Toyota SA’s Durban facilities in KwaZulu-Natal.
