A Linux Cloud Systems Engineer is responsible for working in a Unix software environment. The responsibility of the individual is to manage the instances of the private and public cloud infrastructure services and the multiple cloud servers.
The professional also leads, oversees and maintains, a multiuser computing environment as per the requirements of the organization. The Linux Cloud Systems Engineer will have to develop, configure, implement, and manage the systems that comprise the underlying cloud platform.
QUALIFICATIONS
- First Degree in Information Technology, RHCSA Linux certification or equivalent, VMware NSX Certification, Azure or AWS Cloud Certification
- Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operation role
- Extensive experience in Linux (RHEL and SUSE), monitoring and auditing systems, experience with Satellite and Capsule, GPFS, Ansible and Terraform
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, TCP/IP and firewalls
- Capability to migrate on-premises workload to service providers
