Key Responsibilities

Add Hope & Other Programme Management:

  • Lead implementation of Add Hope Trust
  • Ownership of Trust operations administration to drive excellence through transparency and ensuring that the initiative reflects the strategic intents and values of the Trust through the selection of beneficiaries, the management of the program, the monitoring and evaluation
  • Strategic ownership of the National Beneficiary relationships and engagement and provide LSM beneficiary thought leadership
  • Elevate the CSI components in the programs and leverage the partnerships and relationships to make a bigger impact on the communities in which we do business
  • To lead the development of a strategy to engage Franchisees, Team members, and head office staff that brings our social responsibility to life within the KFC business
  • Develop strategy and oversee implementation plan for internal brand activation of all social responsibility initiatives, including the development and implementation of the employee volunteer program
  • Relationship management through spearheading the CSI conversation throughout the KFC organization (including the design of the RSC volunteer program) as well as external stakeholders, building beneficiary relationships through on-the-ground site visits, analysis, and implementation of recommendations of the monitoring & evaluation results, building industry know-how and identifying partnership opportunities that will strengthen the partnership

Other CSI Initiatives:

  • Oversight of other CSI programs and designing for impact.
  • Partnership with cross-functional teams to leverage breakthrough initiatives that can live in the CSI space 
  • Management of the Harvest, Mini-Cricket, Scholarship, and Supplier Inclusivity programs

Team Management and Budgets:

  • Lead and manage a team of Trust administrators
  • Ensure alignment and partnership and deliver support to Marketing Team around the marketing & communication of the KFC Social Impact Programmes.

Stakeholder Management:

The role will be required to build strong relationships and work cross-functionally across the Restaurant Support Centre (RSC) team:

  • Add Hope Trustee Liason
  • Internal Communications Team
  • Marketing team and Finance as core partners
  • Legal, Operations & REX, Supply Chain

External stakeholders:

  • Franchisees
  • LSM’s
  • NGOs and Add Hope beneficiaries
  • Agency partners and vendors
  • Members of the media/press
  • Other key stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A completed Bachelor's Degree
  • Honors advantageous 
  • Previous CSR experience within a corporate environment advantageous
  • 6+ years’ experience in CSI or related roles
    • 3 years of team management experience
    • 3 years of agency management experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in managing budgets of more than R50 million

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Identifying the most suitable beneficiary partners and opportunities in the CSI space
  • Must be able to think strategically, creatively, and innovatively with a passion for making a difference in the CSI space
  • Existing CSI network advantageous
  • Identifying and adapting existing and new approaches to ensure KFC CSI programs are structurally sound and that control processes are in place
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with business heads and department leaders, with proven ability to build and manage strong relationships at all levels (internally and externally)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, must be able to build, motivate, manage, and develop strong teams
  • Discretion and decision-making regarding when to escalate issues to the leadership team and other parties while identifying multiple solutions to mitigate areas of risk that could damage the brand's reputation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational and project skills, developing operational solutions to accelerate the business impact
  • Strong problem-solving ability with effective listening skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A collaborative team player
