The role of the Information Security Analyst is to design and implement security systems to protect NTT Ltd’s computer networks from cyber-attacks and to help set and maintain security standards. This role is required to monitor the organisation’s computer networks for security issues, install security software, and document any security issues or breaches you find.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Monitor computer networks for security issues
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
  • Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs
  • Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
  • Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
  • Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news
  • Develop organisational best practices for IT security
  • Perform penetration testing
  • Upgrade systems to unable security software
  • Install and upgrade antivirus software
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Assist with the installation of security software and understand information security management
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
  • Stay abreast of information technology trends and security standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to prevent hacking on a network
  • Strong leadership skills to identify and evaluate potential risks and to develop solutions
  • Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
  • Understand firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts
  • Understand patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner whilst understanding business impact
  • Proficient with MAC and OS

Required Qualifications and certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • Relevant information security certification(s)

Required experience:

  • Prior demonstrated experience in information security or related field
  • Prior demonstrated experience as an Information Security Analyst
  • Prior demonstrated experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
