The role:

  • Work on real-world projects for SA’s leading banks and retailers.
  • Customer-centric development role.
  • Exposure to a fast-paced environment while being guided and mentored by some of SA’s leading payments technologists.
  • Attend workshops to increase your knowledge of the payments industry and Java development.
  • Exposure to technologies such as: Java, MySQL, InnoDB, Git, Maven, Circle CI, Python, Bash, Ansible, JavaScript, Node.js, SOAP, REST, React and AWS.

Requirements

  • Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification through UCT or Stellenbosch University.
  • Achieved a minimum of 65% for Computer Science modules with no failures.
  • Good understanding of Object-Orientated Java Programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
