Your Responsibilities Will Include
- The development of security controls, mentoring others in technical security concepts and ensuring secure cloud practices are followed.
- Assist others in interpreting, understanding, and applying information security policies and standards to mitigate information security risks.
- Assists others on their team, or other teams where applicable, on cloud security projects or security-relevant tasks on technical projects.
- Define security frameworks for complex deployments in the Amazon Cloud.
- Participate in architecture reviews of IAAS, PAAS, and SASS usage by the client.
- To provide a high-quality service to the Enterprise Cloud Services clients i.t.o. consultancy, solutions, and delivery.
- Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics including mentoring of other team members.
- Work collaboratively with consulting partners and technology teams to ensure high-quality of solution delivery.
- Encourage best practice and knowledge sharing with partners and cross-functional groups
- Ability to make recommendations as they pertain to improvements in support/development initiatives and facilitate implementation with partners and cross-functional groups within the Business.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct technical research when necessary to contribute to setting cloud security direction and strategy.
Ideally you should possess the following;
- Matric/ Grade 12 is essential.
- AWS Security Speciality Certification preferred.
- 7+ years of experience with IT or Cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of Cloud security fundamentals or Cyber threats as they relate to Cloud.
- Successful candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of industry-related experience of which 1 year must be within a complex hosting environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards, guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements related to information security and cloud computing.
- Knowledge of network security architecture (e.g VPNs, SSH bastions, etc).
- Comprehend key security concepts, including usage of Key Management Service (KMS) keys, Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, IAM roles, Secured Network Architectures, and CIS foundation best practices.
- Good knowledge of the different AWS services and security controls.
- Knowledge of cloud networking architecture, cloud operations, security, automation, and orchestration.
- Excellent teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the customer and management.
