To ensure success, the Marketing and Communications assistant should be detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of MarComms best practices with an understanding of B2C and B2B markets. Top candidates must exhibit project management, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative and logistic support to the head of the department and the Marketing and Communications team
  • Assist with marketing and communications tactical activities
  • Assist in implementing marketing plans that include print, broadcast and online content
  • Assist in the creation of branded advertising campaigns, and support the marketing and communications team by coordinating and collating content
  • Conduct market research to identify marketing opportunities and the competitive landscape
  • Assist with internal communications and events
  • Assist in managing suppliers
  • Preparation of reports and presentations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assist Communications team to disseminate customer communications where necessary
  • Provide administrative support
  • B2B and B2C experience and understanding are a must

Minimum qualification and experience:

  • Diploma in Marketing and or Communications
  • Minimum 2 years in a marketing and communications environment
  • Agency experience advantageous

Skills / abilities

  • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
  • Time management
  • Ability to multitask
  • Solid organisational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
