Information Security Administrator - FirstRand Bank

purpose

To assist in identifying, defining and maintaining the information security policy and baseline standards for FNB

experience and qualifications

• Grade 12
• Diploma in IT and/or CISSP security certification or studying towards it
• 2 years of related experience.

Qualifications:

• Matric
• Relevant Degree / Diploma in Information Technology-related field (Computer science/ Computer engineering/ Information Security)

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of work experience working as an Information Security Administrator within the Financial/ Banking Sector (NON-Negotiable)
• Responsible for developing, delivering, and managing the security infrastructure and its configuration.
• Works in close association with the security department, Managerial team so that all the risks and security incidents are addressed and resolved immediately with high efficiency.
• Responsible for monitoring and running the vulnerability assessment, detection of possible intrusions, and prevention of activities that may hamper the security.
• Actively participates in the gathering and recovery of data and information and presenting findings
• Maintains up to date knowledge of the service technologies and protocols and maintains all the relevant documentation that can be readily presented to the management and the peers
