purpose

To provide information on facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transportation schedules to FNB niche clients.

responsibilities

  • Source travel products and information for upmarket clients and organize extra’s for VIP clients or special occasions (“Surprises and Delights”)
  • Build relationships and rapport with your customers and maintain good relationships with suppliers to be able to provide customers with excellent customer service and always go the extra mile

  • Provide information on facilities and services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes, transportation schedules and advising clients on travel information, e.g. visas, passports, itineraries, currency, language, safety, health, etc
  • Achieve monthly targets set out by your manager by maximizing sales opportunities, promoting destinations, tour packages and other services
  • Arranging all travel-related queries from flight bookings to travel insurance and dealing with complaints by working alongside the Leadership Team to resolve complaints
  • Arrange and Issue airline/other tickets, arrange bookings, appointments and reservations for customers and process payments from clients by paying suppliers, to obtain confirmation documentation
  • Shop on behalf of the customer on the eBucks Online Shopping
  • Counsel clients on terms and conditions of travel, e.g. cancellation policies and assist with after hour emergency duty
  • Come up with new initiatives and creative ideas for this desk
  • Manage own development to increase own competencies
  • Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of Team Leaders and teams in order to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies and increase competencies

experience and qualifications

  • Matric
  • Diploma in Travel/Hospitality/Tourism

  • Amadeus experience, minimum of 4 years
  • 6 years of travel experience
  • Previous concierge (or similar) experience advantage
  • 5 Star/Elite customer relations
  • Supervisor experience
  • Leisure travel background
  • Sales and marketing experience
