A private game reserve is looking for housekeepers to join their team. The successful candidate is required to maintain the up-keep of all guest rooms, public areas and corridors clean and neat.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Fill caddy with supplies and transport to assigned area.
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
- Ensure that room keys are kept safe

- Replace dirty linens with clean items and make beds.
- Clean bathrooms and refill toilet paper when needed.
- Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
- Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
- Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
- Dust, polish and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
- Vacuum carpets and performs floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway).
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- You will also be scheduled to work in the Soil Room, Linen room, Public Area and Housemen, necessary training will be given for each area.
- Public areas are to be kept clean and hygienic at all times.

- All public bathrooms to be cleaned daily
- Bathrooms need to be checked every half an hour and stocked with the necessary amenities
- Ensure that there are always two rolls of toilet paper and a bottle of air freshener on the cisterns.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.

Requirements
- 1 - 2 years experience in Housekeeping in a 4 or 5 Star Hotel/game reserve
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Customer/staff focused
- Team orientation
- Attention to detail
- Preference will be given to South African Citizens
- Must live in the Ceres or Touws Rivier or this is a live-in position.
