Duties and Responsibilities
Execution of Strategy
Overseeing all aspects of People and Culture with the mindset of a business leader and entrepreneur. Partnering with the business to design, develop and implement strategies that will attract, engage, and develop employees and build a high-performance culture, as aligned with the overarching KFC culture.
Ensuring that company objectives are met through effective people-focused strategies. Culture
- Incite passionate and positive team culture as aligned with the guidelines as presented by KFC
- The lead continued development of organisational culture and staff engagement strategies
- Support and advise the Regional Operations Team on organisational change management, providing advice and support through the business
- Able to strongly influence culture through the signals they send, the questions they ask, the feedback they give, and the kinds of messages they impart with their words and actions
- Lead from the front and be an example of the culture of the business across the team
- Culture shapes the performance of a business in many ways. There are three ways culture directly affects performance: productivity rises, business goals are supported, and business performance is improved. People develop positive relationships with their workplace if they feel they are a part of the culture. People will stay on track, striving towards overall company goal
People
- Developing strategies to ensure that The People & Culture initiatives and programs, such as recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, talent management, performance management, change management, reward, and recognition, will re-enforce the company culture and values
- Define organisational goals and align departments effectively. Acts as a liaison between employees, managers, and teams. Take the lead with how to communicate effectively.
- Establish an emotional connect with the people
- Oversees the process to display that the organisation is a great place to work for, thanks to communication, vision, teamwork, as well as benefits and events

- Create a workplace where employees understand how their duties contribute to the organisation’s overarching goal and enjoy collaborating with one another
Training and Development
- Accountability for the execution of all Training & Development tools and processes to achieve executional excellence
- Ensures the development, design, implementation, and effectiveness of all any complimentary tools
- Develops and coach team, daily, ensuring sound Operations skills and knowledge and strong behaviours in line with leadership competencies are maintained
- Ensures that How We Win Together, as well as People Promise Culture is evident in the teams
- Provides recognition at all levels in Restaurants, as well as during meetings
- Managing quality training for Restaurant Management as per KFC guidelines
- Develops an ongoing talent pipeline
- Ensures full, and ongoing training on Statutory and Company Health + Safety, Food Hygiene, as well as Security/Robbery and Fire Procedures
- Driving Company Security Procedures with regards to People Safety, Premises, stock, equipment, and monies
Process and Procedure
- Execute the organisations People & Culture Playbook, and ensuring systems and processes are in place from an admin and workflow perspective
- Creating a digital People & Culture Information System that helps manage and improve the workflow of People & Culture activities by automating many of the administrative tasks, i.e. creating employment contracts, issuing policies and capturing employee personal info, leave, and onboarding

Requirements
- A tertiary degree, either HR or Commerce related, is essential
- An Honors degree will be advantageous
- At least 5 years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on OD, Coaching, L+D, and Organisational Change.
- At least 2 years operating at Senior leadership level, and leading a team
- Highly motivated, with innate energy levels, an acquiring mind, and a passion for excellence
- Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making
- Agile, Flexible, pro-active, and decisive
- High level of Integrity, confidential and reliable
- Coaching and mentoring mindset with high emotional and cultural intelligence
- Inspiring leadership style and an exceptional facilitating style
- Excellent communication skills, coupled with the ability to handle the elephant in the room, assertive, compassionate, empathetic and a very good listener
