Automotive Light Vehicle Technician - Glencore

Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Trade qualified Automotive Light Vehicle Technician to join our team on site.

This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for safely maintaining the light vehicle fleet and ancillary equipment on site to a high standard.

You will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the daily planned and unplanned maintenance priorities and schedule maintenance activities, including major equipment failures, and corrective actions;
• Reporting the extent & repair status to asset owners; (As required)
• Collaborate with our Maintenance Planners and Supervisors for ongoing maintenance requirements of vehicles and ancillary equipment;
• Collecting quotes and material requirements for vehicles and ancillary equipment with external suppliers; and
• Sourcing hard to find parts via internet, product information and suppliers.

About You

This role would suit an Auto-Technician (LV) looking for a rewarding career in mining. You will also:

• Be a team player with the ability to work un-supervised;

• Able to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders;
• Have an understanding of workplace HSE procedures and have a positive attitude towards safety;
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn new applications and systems use in reporting, recording, researching, presentations etc.
