Driver and Logistics Assistant - mothers2mothers

To provide ground travel and administrative support services support to the WC project team and ensure adequate maintenance of the organisational vehicles. This position will be based in Cape Town.

Key Performance Areas:

Driving

• Perform daily maintenance of vehicles using a checklist
• Ensure vehicles have adequate fuel for the planned daily trips
• Hold and allocate vehicle keys as per vehicle booking log
• Drive project staff to destinations for project activities as per approved plans

• Inform Senior Programme Manager and Director DPTS of any damage, missing items from vehicles and when regular car servicing is required
• Compile and submit vehicle monitoring reports (including mileage, fuel, and vehicle tracking analysis) monthly and as requested
• Make deliveries of project materials, files, office supplies and equipment
• Provide other duties as assigned

Administration Support

• Print required project site materials at the office and deliver at the site/s
• Ensure proper storage of project files in the storeroom as well as proper archiving in collaboration with facilities
• Source quotations and facilitate processing of purchase requisitions – stationery, printing
• Work with Programme Manager in updating IH inventory (for all projects) - PPE, Equipment
• Any other tasks as agreed and needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications and experience

• Matriculation certificate
• 3-5 years’ experience working as a driver

• Experience doing similar work in an NGO setting
• A valid and unendorsed driver’s license for at least 6 years
• Clean driving record
