An exciting new opportunity has just become available in Hollard Insure, Broker Distribution. We are looking to recruit an MIS Analyst in the Trucking Department, based in JHB on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Role Objectives:

The MIS Analyst contributes to the organisational goals by generating, assimilating, and constructing value-added reports from raw Telemetry Systems data. These reports are then sent to the customers to inform them of their daily, weekly, and monthly risk status, executive & rewards progress and points of improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, interpretation & understanding of data and statistics in order to identify risk in all the customers they handle
  • Constant communication with the customer regarding faults with their units
  • Collate, interrogate and compile accurate reports for clients
  • Health checks performed on data such as units not updating, no trips and faulty units reported
  • Provides daily, weekly, monthly, executive & rewards reporting for all customer crunching data into readable formats
  • Liaise with clients directly on report clarification/ queries
  • Quite standard reporting pre-defined reporting
  • Liaise closely with the Telematics Service Providers (TSP’s)
  • Monthly reports on all Telematics Systems

Required Knowledge and Experience    

  • Data analysis
  • Report writing

  • Communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
  • Computer Literate
  • Logical thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Planning and organizing (time management/ability to prioritise)
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must have system knowledge (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Prior knowledge of tracking systems

Educational Requirements    

Matric (Grade 12) – numeracy and literacy (English & Afrikaans)
